This is a sort yard and you must separate your woody biomass into the correct areas.

New Users

All new users will be required to complete a short registration form before they can unload.

Contractors

All contractors will be required to complete a short registration form for each client’s property. Contractors will not be able to unload without the following information:

  • First and last name
  • Physical address of property (including county and zip code)

Hauling Guidelines

  • Clean out your pickup or trailer before loading material. This helps keep trash and debris from mingling with material.
  • All material must be securely tied down.
  • Keep all types of material separate within the load. Each type of material is unloaded in a different location.
  • Do not use heavy machinery to load material as this will often add rocks and dirt. Any load with rocks or dirt will be refused.
  • We do not accept material transported by chip vans, semi side dump, send end dump, walking floor, or live floor trailers.

The Sort Yard is the best use of County Resources in the Allenspark area. It not only provides useful disposal of wildfire mitigation residue but staff have been excellent information resources for forestry practices, weed identification, and best practices.- Phil S.
We have been coming to the sort yard regularly for the past 5 years. Without this facility we would have never have been able to make this kind of progress clearing our property and mitigating against fire. Wayne and all of his staff are fantastic. We have enjoyed Jake this summer and still miss Tom and Nathan! Keep up the good work!- Mark and Yvonne
Thank you all for making the mitigation work so much easier!! You are very much appreciated! Muchas Gracias.- Anonymous
The sort yard is an asset to the mountain community. I have a small property (~1 acre) and don’t have room to pile materials to decompose safely. Thank You for the varied materials that are accepted (trees, pine needles, noxious weeds) .- Anonymous
